This week I am going to try and make White Chocolate Panna Cotta with Stewed Strawberries. Strawberries are really yummy this time of year. And Andy is always wanting to have something sweet after dinner.....and I think this will hit the spot.
The recipe is :-
180g white chocolate
2 cups thickened cream
1 tblspn castor sugar
1 tspn vanilla bean paste
1 tblspn boiling water
11/2 tspn gelatine
Punnet strawberries
2 tblpsn castor sugar
1/4 cup orange juice
Combine chocolate, cream,sugar and vanilla bean paste in a saucepan. Stir over low heat until melted and smooth. Put the boiling water into a small bowl and sprinkle the gelatine over and stir until dissolved. Stir into chocolate mixture until smooth. Pour into a jug and pour into glasses/ramekins. Chill about 4 hrs until set.
Place quartered strawberries into pan with other ingredients and simmer for 2-3 mins until mixture is syrupy and strawberries are soft. remove, chill and serve spoonful over each penna cotta
